Everyone is a life-long learner.
One does not have to be from a certain city or have a certain job to
teach. Teaching and learning are both
important aspects of life.
I have been
learning about life one step at a time since I was born. Palopo is the place where I was born and raised. I was birthe by my mother, Nadira. She is a as a cook
and my father are married and have been married for 35 years. My father’s name is Ibrahim. He was goverment employee for 38 years. I have an older sister that
is 32 years
old, an older brother 28 years old
and the youngest brother is 17 years old . They
ares currently working as goverment employee, except my the youngest brother, he is still a
student at high scholl. There is something about waking
up at 5:30 a.m. and watching the sunrise from a duck blind that I really enjoy. I believe that
it is important to learn things as a child and as one grows old. Even though, one day I will be out of school,
I will still be learning as life continues.
One does not know everything. One
always continues to learn. People will
always be learning whether it is in school or a job related environment.
When I started to school my older sisters had taught me
to read, spell and do simple arithmetic problems. The school authorities wanted to start me next year because they thought my age is not enough to entrance grade school but Mother wouldn’t agree to it.
I was able to finish grade school for six
years and three years for Junio
school.
When i was in high school, i was an average student
throughout my academic life. Extra-curricular activities like sports, drawing, etc. were my favorite things. I just remember that it was the second
semester of 2nd grade when I stood
first in class. However, it didn't serve any purpose in motivating me to take
up studies seriously. I enjoyed understanding the concepts more than just
memorizing ready made notes. By the end of my time at high school I had achieved examination grades which
allowed me to go to University. I did not have a real idea of what I wanted to do for a career, so i decided to take course BSN. During
my first year of college I have learned many things about the health and specially about the theories and practise of nursing from my teachers and also,
i have learned many things outside of university. I joined in Squad of
Disaster of Emergency assistance Nurse. I got more knowledge of emergency in
that organization that in university. By the end of my
time at university i had finished my
study for five years.
It was two months after graduating, i apllied to one of private
college in Makasssar. I was fortunate be accepted to became a teacher there. I
had been working for two years before i came here for taking Masteral of
Science in Nursing at Saint Paul University Philippines and i have been
studying for six moths at that university. In future, i want to became a
profesional researcher so that i can make a theory that could be improve regarding practice and knowledge in nursing area.
